A commissioned painting offers the opportunity to bring an original work into your space that is created with your vision in mind. Each painting is developed within my established studio practice, with consideration given to scale, palette, mood, and the overall feeling you want the work to bring to the space.
Rather than working from a predetermined image or composition, I allow each painting to evolve through layers of color, movement, texture, and material. The result is a one-of-a-kind work that feels connected to my broader body of work while being uniquely yours.
Commissions are best suited for collectors who are drawn to my work and appreciate the freedom of allowing a painting to unfold. I accept a limited number of commissions each year so that each work can receive the time and attention it deserves.
T H E P R O C E S S
We begin with a conversation about your space, desired dimensions, general palette, and the qualities you would like the painting to bring to the room. You may also share photographs, reference images, or a mood board to help communicate color, atmosphere, or feeling.
There are no sketches, digital mockups, or mid-process approvals. Instead, the painting develops through the same layered and exploratory approach I use in my studio practice, allowing the work to evolve naturally while remaining grounded in the direction we establish together.
Once the painting is complete, you will receive final images of the finished work. Because each commission is created as an original painting rather than from a predetermined composition, the final piece may unfold in unexpected ways. This openness is an essential part of the work and allows the finished painting to retain its sense of discovery.
If the completed work resonates with you, it becomes part of your collection. If it does not, the painting may be offered as part of my available work. The commission deposit is non-refundable.
T H E D E T A I L S
Commissioned works begin at $2,000, with final pricing determined by size and complexity. Larger works are available for collectors seeking a substantial statement piece. Most commissions are completed within 6 to 10 weeks, depending on size and current studio schedule. Framing is available upon request. Each painting is carefully prepared and packed using archival materials and shipped fully insured.
