Hidden Tides explores a space where presence is sensed more than fully seen. The work is rooted in the experience of looking into the ocean or being submerged within it, where depth, light, and movement create a quiet sense of mystery.
Layers of paint are built and softened over time, allowing color to surface and recede. Brighter moments move through the composition like fleeting glimpses, never fully fixed, always in transition. The surface holds a sense of continual motion, as if something just passed through or is about to emerge.
Composed of four individual panels, the piece unfolds across space rather than within a single boundary. Each panel carries its own rhythm while remaining connected to the whole. A small space between them allows the composition to breathe and the movement to continue across the full piece.
The work invites a slower kind of looking. Not to define what is there, but to feel what is passing through.
